Geologist, Speleologist, Caver.

My Projects.

I am often working on a personal or scholastic project, most often brought on by curiosity about a specific area of study. Currently, I am working on a project to determine the cause of the coloration in speleothems. Right now, this project is focused on metal contamination. More work is soon to be done looking at crystal size as a factor.

If you would like to view my past, present, and upcoming projects, check this page: Projects.

Educational Posters.

Something that is needed to help with science communication is easily accessible media related to the science you are talking about, so I have been making Educational Posters pertaining to geoscience.

You can download them for free here.

Bristol Caverns.

I am currently working at Bristol Caverns, TN, as a tour guide. I am using this as a chance to teach about speleology.

Videos and Photos

I am making educational and practical videos relating to geology, from how to repair a Brunton compass to how cave formations grow and what types of formations you are likely to encounter, as well as some general geology videos for beginners.

It can be hard to find free-to-use photos of minerals, and incredibly hard to find free-use pictures of speleothems (cave formations). Below is a link to a photo gallery of my own making, which will be updated as more photos are taken.
